[lug] Kernel Routing Table Disappears
Hi
I am new to Suse
I have been Using Fedora Core 3 and 4
I am having a strange phenomenon
I have a DSL connection and using yast I configured my NIC and DSL
Modem
Everything works fine but
after a few minutes 30-40 approximately After I boot up my machine in
Suse
I see my routing table
using
#route -v
it does not shows me any entry and I am not able to ping to any
website but I can still ping to my Gateway and it replies
I have to restart my network
I do so
by
#/etc/init.d/network restart
then I see my routing table I am able to see it
with all the proper info
I am able to ping to any website
Just want to know is that the Default Behaviour of Suse or some
problem in my system since I am able to have a normal Internet
Connection In Fedora Core 3 and 4 on the Same PC
can any one sugesst me what can be the problem or what should I do to
solve this issue this is creating problem since other users do not know
how to restart the network services and admins can not be available
each time
