Just tell what are the IP of this Machine in whicg u are working in
the two Networks

Have u specified the IP of Gate way to Internal Lan for External
NetWork
from above post it appears that u are using ur PC as a Router
between the External and Internal netwok
Ok see some basic things check in the system
Where u specified the Default Gateway to ur NIC for the two Networks
This is a very basic check in case u havent done then do it
#route add -net <network address > and then route add default gw <IP
of this PC in same networl >

u need to do the same for the Internal and External Network
I think u know what is a network address
from ur pos t the Network address for ur
Internal address appears 192.168.1.0
and External Networks IP is 192.168.0.0

in above statement I said to use the route command just be sure while
using it for ur Internal LAn u will do it as follows
route add -net 192.168.1.0 then route add default gw <IP this PC in
Internal Lan>

and for External LAn
route add -net 192.168.0.0 then route add default gw <IP of this PC in
External Lan >
in this way only u can use this PC as a router to communicate between
the two networks u need to be sure
that the ssh deamon is running on the machines
I am using Fedora Core so
I am giving the command that works in that
do
su - <Dont Ignore the - after su>
and give root passwd
now check
service sshd status
if it is on then Ok if Off then
do
chkconfig sshd on
It will start ssh each time u boot the machine
In case u are having authentication from an LDAP
or NFS Server then some other problem might be there
Try this if it works or not
