I recall a report of a problem where markers were not showing up at the
expected location. IIRC, the map div was moved relative to the page
after the map was initialized. I think, this caused the internal API
code which converted page relative pixel coordinates to map dive
relative coordinates or to lat/lon to return the wrong value.

That problem should show up as a constant pixel offset at all zoom
levels though, rather than a world coordinate offset.
