Re: à doesn't work

They're called HTML Entities. There's a list of them here:

à works in an API info window, for example:

http://www.econym.demon.co.uk/googlemaps/opp/agrave.htm

Make sure that you've spelled it correctly and are using the correct
case. Check that you're not forcing a different character set, the
à entity is part of the ISO 8859-1 character set, which is the
default for HTML.

Are you perhaps attempting to read it from XML?
