I did a test of H.264 and VP7 as you previously mentioned, and neither
comes as close to quality and file size as Divx 6.0 My other codec,
Microsoft Mpeg-4 V1/V2 has one fourth the file size of your codecs and
the quality is okay.

I used H.264 in quicktime, and VP7 in virtual dub. The H.264 i used was
from Quicktime, so maybe i need to download a different one to get it
to work (the resulting file format was a Quicktime movie, not an
mpeg4).
