Re: my site is invisible to google

Hi there!
You have a small canonical domain issue, your server responds to both
stephaniemcglynn.com/ and www.stephaniemcglynn.com/

It should be "301 redirecting" from the www- version to the
non-www-version. Since you are using an Apache-server, you can fix that
relatively easily: http://ekstreme.com/webmaster/301-redirection.php -
he shows just how to do it.

The problem with that is that you have one relatively high-pr link
pointing to the www-version: http://www.axisdance.org/about/bios.html -
you should try to get that link fixed (point to the non-www-version).
The conflict Google is in might be coming from there, you say it's
non-www, but the high-value link says it's with-www - so Google is
indexing both but finding they're duplicate so one of them is filtered
out.

Don't worry about the toolbar pagerank, it is only updated 3-4x/year,
and will lag a bit (and perhaps the existing links aren't "enough" yet,
it's hard to tell what Google counts).

Regarding Google not "finding" the site within Sitemaps: how long have
you been trying? If you haven't been trying that long, then you might
just want to let it sit a bit and see if it "settles". Google sometimes
has these problems and sometimes tries to get the files from its cache,
which is not that useful if your sitemap-files are new.

Hope it helps!
John
