Just a tip: it's the one thing that's keeping your site from being
indexed. Sitemaps will not do magic and push you into being indexed.
You NEED to provide Google and other search engines with PROOF that
your site is VALUABLE. The only way to do that is by having other
people link to you.
Some people go out and trade links (I link to you, you link to me),
which isn't the best thing to do (because Google sees through that
pretty quickly) - but a good way to start. Others go out and join a
"link-exchange" which forces you to keep long lists of links to other
sites on your site (which is worse than just trading - because you end
up linking to all sorts of trash and Google will put you into the same
category). Generally, the best way is to get one-way links to your
site, to all different pages in your site, from sites that are in the
same general area as you are.
The best way to do that is to provide valuable content or something
interesting enough for people to take a look and link to you because
they want to pass it on to their visitors.
I know, that's not always easy :-). But who said life was easy?
If you have a commercial site, you might want to look into getting paid
text-links to your site, at least until it is indexed by Google (you
can get a link from a PR6 page for something like $100/month, ymmv).
There are lots of directories out there where you can sign up for free
or almost free: http://www.cre8asiteforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=30313
Good luck, get busy :-)
Cheers
