This is one of the most common problems for new users of the API.

Your error message is actually "Operation aborted". IE gave up trying
to load your page because you are doing something that it can not
handle. A search for that term in this group will locate a couple of
solutions.

The best solution is to start by blindly following the examples in the
API documentation. They put all the code in the head for a very good
reason. If you don't, you run the risk of this kind of problem.
