301 Redirects
Hello All,
>From the beginning of our web site I've been using the
http://www.mysite.com version of the URL, however I am concerned that
there may be some http://mysite.com versions floating around out there.
Therefore I'd like to do 301 redirect on the http://mysite.com pages.
1) Do I have to do a redirect page for each and every page in the WWW
version?
2) As new pages are created on the WWW, do I also then need to create
a new corresponding 301 on the non-www version?
If this is so, it seems like a lot of bother.
Is there a way to post a file that will simply redirect every request
for the non-www name and forward to the www version?
I can only publish to my server, as we use godaddy as a host. (( I
know, I know, that is another discussion for another time, I am looking
to solve this problem now, we'll deal with that later))
Not sure if it would help, but the site is located at
www.hvac-direct.com [not meant to be spam in the discussion group]
Thanks,
John
