Good thing to know. I test products by using product names as keywords,
and throw a bunch of them into an adgroup with an ad that is generic to
the group. Then I see what I get exposures on and start breaking out
adgroups for each product. I use a product-specific URL on each
keyword, in order to gain relevance rating for the landing page, as
well as to give the user a better experience (landing on the right
product - seen a lot of dumb keyword ads that don't do this). The ad
URL, of course, goes to a generic page for the product category. But I
was reasoning that this would not actually ever be used.
Good thing to keep in mind if I ever figure out the key to effective
use of Content Network. Last time I tried, I got 900 exposures and no
clicks on a campaign that gets 10-15% CTR on Search.
