[Gmail-Users] Re: using a designated contact window

Are you just trying to view a contact?  Or add a new contact to your list?  Or are you trying to compose a new email message with a contact?  If you need to compose a new email, dont go to the contacts page.  Instead, when you click "Compose Mail" just type the name or first few letters of any part of the email address or name into the "To" field and autocomplete will fill in the rest.  Hope this is the answer to your question.

I am new with Gmail. When I go to Contacts and click onto a contacts
name it opens a window that has that contacts name and email address on
it. The problem I'm having is that nothing else in that portion of the
page (when I click on it) will open. The only way I can get back to the
previous page is to us the back button on the microsoft explorer tool
bar. What am I doing wrong?
