[Google-Desktop] Re: I've gone Microsoft....first report
Thanks for the instructions. Yes, I've used Add/Remove to uninstall
Google Desktop each time.
I want to take some time and read the Norton help files and figure out
just what it is that "Norton Protected Recyle Bin" is protecting. Have
been using Norton AV since leaving Atari and Mac platforms at the
beginning of Windows and have been using SystemWorks since its
introduction and haven't read the documentation in at least 10 years.
Got a feeling that it IS safe to wipe out anything that is in the
recycle bin, but want to make sure before I do that.
Probably need to do that. Because the SystemWorks automatic registry
fixer ("OneButtonCheckup"), and other registry fixers/optimizers that I
purchased since starting to experience problems in September, search
the recyle bin and restore registry entries that they think need to be
restored. (As well as remove ones they think are superfluous.) So I may
be restoring some error in my Google installation every time I
check/clean/optimize my registry.
So much to consider and play with. Like it so much better the first
three weeks with a new computer when it just fires right up and does
everything it's supposed to with amazing speed and efficiency.
Best,
kwc
