I would have to disagree with you, I personally think you should start
with the GUI then learn the commands to correlate with the GUI. This
way you can gradually allow yourself to learn the commands and not get
frustrated with yourself when trying to figure something out. This is
how I have managed and it was through the GUI first, which allowed me
to relate to something else. If you are learning use an easier linux
like *buntu, FC. This goes for people who started during the Win95 and
on era. If you were around previously you most likely already had the
command line experience and it willn't take long to pick everything up.
