Re: Can Google Maps API Help This Charity?

It really seems much more like a need for data and communication tools
than mapping. The maps API could help with the trivial step of locating
volunteers in proximity to clients...but so would a paper map with
pushpins.

Which part of the work takes the most time (or is enjoyed the least?)
Taking requests? Coordinating volunteers? Mapping? Tracking? She may
put together a better workflow with a simple database instead, and a
browser bookmark to local.google.com for the mapping.

I know a woman who ran a small, (describedly) similar organization in
Columbus, Ohio using a clipboard and journal by her phone. She kept
very organized notes. Automation would not have helped her.
