Since your site has gone into "pending" status, has it gone back to
unverified or has it stayed at "pending"?

If a site goes from pending to not verified, then it is likely that the
verification request was unsuccessful. The things I listed above are
the most common reasons a request might be unsuccessful.

If the site has stayed in pending, then the verification request
probably hasn't been processed yet. As we've posted here before on the
group and in the blog, we are aware of this issue and are working to
get it resolved. I know it is very frustrating when all you can do is
wait.
