What about the Header separators can "~" be used?

Hello,

If I choose "~" to separate my fields do I also need to do this with
the Header? I ask this because I have tried to separate the Heards and
my item fields all with "~" and still got header errors. I have also
tried using Tabs in the Header and "~" for the items and still got
Header errors.

What is happending? Can someone please post their file (example) that
actually works?
