Excuse me, but I have a few questions for Hex Star.
1) Are you now using a Win32 based OS? If so, doesn't that make you
nothing more than a morally corrupt hypocrite yourself?
2) Define 'monopoly'. Obviously I am referring to the business theory
and not the board game.
3) Eons ago, Apple started its own death march with its poorly conceived
guidelines for compatible software. Are you fully aware of the Apple
business model?
4) Advertising is what pays the freight for free services. A mature
individual has no problems ignoring such minor details when using a free
service. Obviously, you have not reached that level yet.
5) You make a reference to Microsoft allegedly following an Apple lead
in its 3D GUI. Once again, you fail to provide even the slightest proof
of such an allegation. Vista has been on Microsoft's table, in one form
or another, since at least 2001. One of the major stumbling blocks with
the GUI is that video card manufacturers were not manufacturing cards
with the specific traits that Microsoft required for its new system.
Thanks to Microsoft, the newer cards are far more robust than there
older brothers.
6) Are you aware that the single largest supplier of software for the
MAC is Microsoft? I think not.
7) KDE has produced GUI for its suite that looks suspiciously like a
company's product that is based in Redmond. They even have a setting in
their 'config' file that makes the program act in a compatible fashion
with Microsoft's product. Why am I not hearing your wails of anguish
regarding this blatant attempt at conformity or as you would refer to it,
piracy?
