[lug] PCMCIA WIFI

I am a newbie to Linux. I have installed Suse 8.2 on my Toshiba
Portege. I am a 70+ year old learner and have had some success. I got
the LAN on the docking station connected to my wireless router and I
got the sound card running. I have a DLink DWL-G630 PCMCIA card which
is identified as aAtheros Communications AR5001-0000-0000 chipset. Some
references suggest the card should run with the orinoco-cs driver in my
Suse library. Other sources say I must use the MAD WIFI. The MADWIFI
site has tarballs which I am unsure of. I don't know how to access the
config file and would appreciate step by step help.
I also would like to learn how to activate Gpilot to run pilot link to
sync my Palm V. Thanks.
