Short answer: Yes. This is a very good use of the API.

- Can I display only those locations, which are having my stores? if
yes how?

Again, yes. You need to geocode (find the longitude and lattitude) of
each store to do this.

- Can I get map on basis of postcode, street name or place for the
country? or is it only possible on lat,long. values?

The API is based on the longitude and latitude method of coding. This
isn't a big limitation though.

Learning how to use the API isn't difficult, and your application
sounds pretty basic. If you run into any problems, please post a
question to this board and always include a link to your page. There
are a plethora of people using this board that are willing and able to
help you though the rough spots.
