Lotus Notes Plugin

I know this thread was started and ended a few months ago, but I still
haven't seen a Desktop plug-in for Lotus Notes. Is anyone working on
one to allow searching of Lotus Notes email as well as databases? My
company has a large amount of knowledge tied up in our Notes databases
and we use Notes email as well. If noone is close to releasing one, I'd
appreciate thoughts on the best route to take (seems like the C++ or
Java API for Notes was the most recent suggestion).
