i agree and it should go for ALL email accounts globally that getting
certain types of emails ( i.e.porn) advertisements and such should be at
the least an opt-in setting, that advertisement, or what have you is
certainly a captialistic democratic idea, but things that can infringe
on the delicacies of children's curiousity and innocence should NOT be
acceptable EVER unless you agree to it...i mean i'm not a super huge
hat the first ammendment kind of person, i'm all for consenting adults
doing adult things, however, there are children that are not ready for
adult emails and a person should have the ability to remove adult email
by some setting either permanently, no pics, no foul language, allow
all in or whatever. if i'm 22 and single and i don't have children,
hell yeah send me porn, but now, im 34, i have a 2 year old girl. DO
NOT SEND ME PORN! so, this should be a notion that should be personally
regulated setting. if an adult spammer wants to spam they should be
required to represent themseleve as they are...i mean no judgement,
peddle porn, go for it, you'll find many young able-bodied lonely men
willing to partake, however, some of us, have children and are at a
point in our lives where we need to provide shelter for our children. i
mean my daughter, when she is older, she can do whatever she wants when
she obtains an age and wisdom to make her own decisions, but until then
i make 'em and i don't want her to see porn, advertisements for viagra,
or boob jobs, or your fat lose weight or whatever...as parents, this is
really an issue of representing ourselves and our children to the
highest levels, your local congressman and such.
but it would be nice for an email, especially gmail, to offer the
ability to determine not only spam, but something that is completely
unacceptable and offer the user the ability to say, delete
automatically or what have you!
great post!
cool
