As a matter of consistency and readability, bottom posting is usually
considered the correct form. Inline posting works for messages that will
have only a very few responses. Top posting can get you kicked out or
flamed in many technical forums. Top posters are usually either
uniformed or inconsiderate of others. They usually only consider their
opinion worthy of reading and therefore attempt to place their comments
prior to those that came before.

Google supplies a list of suggestions for posting. I have listed the URL
