do u think cd is creating problem.

It could be the CDs, if they are fairly old, and have been sitting around for a while. Try grabbing yourself a brand new ISO from www.opensuse.org and then use that. Also I notice that you say you are using only one CD... If this CD gets the rest of the packages etc. from the Internet, then the installation may not have picked up your internet connection (esp. if you are using some kind of wireless card!) If you think this is the case, make sure you get a full ISO that doesn't need to use the Internet, you can then set up your internet connection later.

 

Also could you send us a bit of information on your hardware, that usually helps.
