That was a bad suggestion. I remebered seeing specs for an image map in
the marker docs, but they are not for what I expected:

imageMap: An array of integers representing the x/y coordinates of the
image map we should use to specify the clickable part of the icon image
in non-IE browsers.

I thought you could use an image map to do different clickable things
within the marker, like having different areas of the marker doing
different things when it is clicked. Wrongo. My bad.
