Yes I am learning, Its just that sometimes (like this one) I can spend
hours and hours and sometimes even days trying to get something to
work. I like to do this sometimes because it helps me to learn what i
learn even more, other times i seem to hit a wall and don't even know
what I'm looking for anymore which was the case here. So your help is
greatly apprecieated!

Yes, I added places = []; and it worked.

Thanks for all your help. And if you have any other advice on the code
I have any helpful input would help me out a lot, even if it is
pointing me in the right directions where I have bad google map code.
